Plugged in and good to go

I used this to replace a failed WD 2TB Caviar Green drive that failed after about 8-9 year of use. I plugged it right in to my Drobo S and it's worked just fine.

Crashed

I purchased this drive for use with a Synology NAS. I started having issues with boot sector errors after a 6 months, the drive finally crashed after 9 months. Now I'm having to RMA a replacement and spend hours rebuilding the array. This will be the last Western Digital hard drive I purchase.

Western Digital Quality

As like with many other western digital products, with any significant amount of use, the product beings to die within two years. Its only redeaming factor is that the product out lives WD:Blue drives by a measly year.

I ordered 8 of these 2T drives to put in a Synology NAS. They arrived in a timely manner. I had them for a week before I was able to assemble the nas and have it build a raid 5 volume. During the volume creation the nas gave several reports of one drive as having bad sectors.

Quiet

1 drive out of 8 was bad

Replaced my old green drive when 10's of power cuts eventually cause the old thing to die, also purchased from Novatech.

I would only recommend WD

Every time I use an a different brand drive it fails. I use it in a server, and as the case was, the other brand (seagate) failed.

Great for back up and daily computing!

WD 2TB (WD20EZRZ) This drive is 5400 RPM drive. So don't expect extreme speeds. It's good for basic computing (Not ideal for games, media editing, audio recording etc.). It is always recommended to install Windows 10 on a 7200 RPM HDD.

I love Western Digital Hard Drives

Western Digital provides the best industry leading Hard Drives available on the Market. Easy to use for our NAS system, and never a doubt as to whether the drive will fail. Installed this in my NAS system, and now have 2 TB of data to ease my comfort.
