I own the 1st release of this excellent product and it is still fully operation. The 2nd release, this product, is just one step up the ladder of excellency from Western Digital. I would highly recommend WD My Passport Wireless Pro to anyone wanting digital camera memory storage / backup while on...

Camera downloads via memory card and/or WiFi; Battery powered; i.e.: no plug-in required; Large storage; Fast access via USB for processing once back home

None that I've found

Having read some of the earlier product reviews I was a little uneasy about using the product even though the reviews did not put me off buying it. Even more so because I have waited for a product like this for several years simply because my prime cameras all use dual CF cards and although I can...

Pretty nice unit

Works well. Not the fastest but OK for what it is. Picky on 128 SD cards so be prepared to do some tests on what cadrs work. Other than that. Pretty nice unit.

We had only two real complaints about WD's original My Passport Wireless media-streaming Wi-Fi hard drive: short-ish battery life, and an inability to charge other devices. WD has remedied both shortcomings with the all-new My Passport Wireless Pro.

Good battery life; Can charge other devices; Good storage; Easy to use; Good value; Ideal for professionals and home users alike; Plex media server

Works well with SD cards, wifi on the go and I even use it with USB for Time Machine. Fast and convenient.

WD's My Passport Wireless Pro is one of the most feature rich storage devices I have seen in a very long time, but it certainly comes at a price.

The My Passport Wireless Pro has wireless connectivity as well as an SD card reader onboard to allow users to upload content on the go and access it again just as easily from your other mobile devices and computers.

Wireless connectivity; excellent companion app; built-in battery to take it anywhere

Won't support Time Machine back up on a Mac; Plex experience could be better

WD My Passport Wireless Pro review: Good backup, but pricey

As a MacBook Air user who saved a bit of money by opting for the lowest storage option of the laptop, I am someone who is always open to a little bit extra storage space. While I have effectively managed with my quota of 128GB over the past year or so, I know this can't last forever.

Meh

Purchased this with the intent of being able to do mobile photo editing as the primary purpose. We work with RAW files that are in the 30MB per image range. Using the WD mobile app, browsing the drive and looking at photos isn't terrible, but integration into iOS, or Windows is fairly terrible.
