Plug and use, straight out of the box all photo files, Im on a Mac.

No problems at all. It comes with a cable that plugs directly into the new 2018 laptops without an adapter. This was very nice and the first backup did not take as long as I expected. Very lightweight and small. Worth it.

Device wasn't recognized by the computer right away. Ejecting and reconnecting fixed the problem. Housing feels a bit flimsy, but not sure if any other brand is much better. Time will tell how well this device is constructed.

Worked out of the box. Software loaded easily and 'Finder' displayed the drive. It's quiet and unobtrusive but it is taking some time to transfer the data. Overall I am pleased with this purchase so far.

Bought this for a friend with a Mac, hooked it up for him and voila! Time machine started back-up and all was well with the world.
