I bought this drive to transfer files from my old Windows XP Professional Computer to my new computer running on Windows 10. Since Win XP can only see drives up to 2 Tb, I bought this small 1 Tb drive to make sure the transfer would go without problems. Was I wrong !!!
good design and compatibility
price maybe other than that; nothing to complain
Excellent drive
I've been using these Western Digital external HD's for ages and I've never had a problem with them. I back up every day using the security password feature and it's great. I've used external HD's from a variety of manufacturers, including Transcend, and I've gotten the best service out of the...
I got this product in a sale, for me its a very good product at this price. According to me below is the major pros and cons of this device Pros: i)As description says this drive has 256bit encryption so I believe this is protected from others. ii)Drive looks good and sturdy.
I bought this because it says it's compatible with Apple and it is but it took hours of research and a few false starts to get there. Unlike a previous purchase which simply plugged in, this one needs to be ‘partitioned' and although I found out how from help sites I still have no idea what I've...
Was quite surprised at the small size of the drive. Very neat. Comes with some built in software, which I didn't need. If requires activation if you need it, so it was no problem. Been in use for a few months works perfectly as a backup to my desk top. The transfer speed on the USB 3 is not bad.
Each color of the new WD My Passport comes with a color matching USB cable. If you want to store a lot of data, and maybe even use colors to categorize your data, the new My Passport portable drive from WD is for you.
The new WD My Passport portable drive has lots of storage space, good performance and supports strong encryption; It's available in some vivid color options and comes in an eye-catching design
There's no USB-C (so no future-proofing) and the high-capacity versions of the drive are bulky
Nice hard drive, got it for a good price. Cable is short but not an issue. Using the included backup software. The software allows me to get to the files when not at my primary computer (does not create an unreadable backup that is only accessible from the software)
Easy to Use; Features; Quiet
