It's a cheap HDD, so you get what you pay for really. Don't get me wrong, it hasn't failed me (yet). The issue with it is the read/write speeds which are slower that what it says.
Manufacturer: Western Digital

So how long are hdd's meant to last I bought blue having researched the codings for reliable storage. Yet my trust was misplaced as this is yet another WD drive that has failed on me. 2 years and the dreaded clunky returns.
I purchased this drive to replace a smaller one which was full. Installation was simple and fast. After a quick formatting all the old files were copied across and I now have plenty of spare storage space. The drive seems perfectly fast enough for my use as a "storage" drive.
Great value for money and great performance...
In my opinion one of the best hard drives you can get for your computer. I have used Western Digital on every hard drive update I have done for many many years now. I dont even look at other brands. They are durable well designed and function as expected.
At the time I purchased the drives, they were $90 each, which is excellent for 3 TB. I run my machine from an SSD. I would generally advise against running an operating system off of a 5400 RPM hard drive these days.
There isn't much to say about a hard drive, but: - The disk performs decently well; I haven't noticed any lag induced by I/O
- I've experienced one drive running significantly slower than the other, but it hasn't caused problems; It may have been induced by a faulty benchmark, or a bad SATA cable
I've only bought WD drives for my last 4-5 HDDs over several years, and I've never had a problem. This works well for storage, and well enough for slow-load games.
No issues; Good transfer speed for short-term+ storage; Good enough for short-load multiplayer games (CS:GO; DOTA; HOTS; Overwatch; etc.
Good value, but over aggressive power management for 24/7 use. Nice and quite drive, reasonable transfer speeds for a 5400rpm drive. Runs pretty cool too, 26deg in my case. But. If you have this drive on continually, this drive will eat it's way through its rated 300,000 load unload cycles in under...
Delivery very quick and it also worked for me on DVR.
This is a great drive. HD Tach gets 348.8mb/s burst and avg read is 121.5mb/s.
