Watch Dogs, a twist in gaming with exciting results... please Ubisoft, can we have some more?

Watch Dogs' biggest downfall might be in its intimacy. The game works hard to engage you as a beacon for justice and revenge; to right the wrongs of a dystopian modernist society in its digitally-recreated Chicago -- but in doing this it forgets players have choice.

Last year, Watch Dogs was the talk of E3 in Los Angeles. Ubisoft has been showing off the sandbox-style title for some time now, and despite a couple of delays, it would appear that the wait was well worth it.

Watch Dogs is a huge game, with a lot of content to explore. It definitely doesn't shortchange its players of missions to tackle, collectibles to find, or systems to explore. It's also a well-built game. For what it's worth, Watch Dogs looks and sounds great.

Hacking is a complicated and highly technical process that requires an extensive knowledge of high- and low-level programming languages and the patience to bang your head against a wall for days to see how the paint starts to chip.

Hacking powers are fun and add a level of strategy to the Grand Theft Auto-like gameplay; Chicago is large and lively

Hacking is so unrealistic it might as well be magic; Serious narrative is undermined by silly moments

Gamers may have had impossibly high hopes for Ubisoft's Watch Dogs before the delays and other bad buzz moments dragged them down, but I'm happy to say that most reasonable hopes have been thoroughly satisfied.

I don't think I've ever had more of an issue coming up with my final thoughts on a game than I have with

- ...the characters in it? Not so much; - Cliched and underused cast of supporting characters; - Weapon switch system is unnecessarily complex; - Open combat suffers because of #3; - Insta-fail missions need to go away forever; - Not being given the option to ignore online hacking missions
