Koei Tecmo is a company whose games have always captured my attention, but found issue in finding an entry point to them. Hyrule Warriors , despite the praise, ended up boring me to tears the first time I jumped on and then off the one-versus-thousands style of games.

Buy Warriors Orochi 4 Dynasty Warriors 9 attempted to bring the franchise into the open-world genre, and it was met with a negative reception. That may explain Warriors Orochi 4 , which is the latest entry in Omega Force's Warriors crossover mash-up.

A player has certain expectations going into a Warriors game. Considering the sheer number of titles released since the series' PS2 debut, most anyone has at least some series experience. Outside of a few brief glances, my introduction to musou came with Dynasty Warriors: Gundam .

Conquering the battlefield with new improvements and a neat new magic system, Warriors Orochi 4 is a welcome addition for the series and stands as one of the best overall games in Koei Tecmo's beloved hack n' slash genre.

Though this is the first Warriors Orochi title I have played, I was quite familiar with many of the characters by playing Samurai and Dynasty Warriors games. By offering 170 playable characters, Warriors Orochi 4 has set a new Guinness World Record.
