Storyline can be confusing – Only ideal for seasoned veterans of both games
Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate is an overall fun experience best appreciated by existing fans of the series who will enjoy the visual upgrade on current-gen hardware, the extra gameplay modifications and modes and the added cross-franchise characters for that added awesome fan-service.
+ Not just a port; adds new content; + 120+ diverse character roster; + Character bond system
- Missions and objectives do get same-y; - Not so friendly to series newcomers; - Core gameplay is dumb fun; but also can be dry
It's one solid time-travelling time sink.
This game was awesome. The best orochi game yet. I advise anyone curious about the game to try it out. It has a heck of a plot, heck of a lot of characters, and heck of a lot of combo moves and awesome weapons. Must play!

Dynasty Warriors 8 was better, but if you have played that to death, this at least adds new and interesting new situations.
Rather than being an adaptation of historical or semi-historical battles, the Warriors Orochi series takes the casts of Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors and has them team up in huge battles against new mythological foes.
Best warriors game so far and amazing story. I just wished they had more cutscenes and less explanation. I was extremely disappointed by no English voices but the game was too much fun to play. Gauntlet mode was very challenging and fun. Dlc were great but too expensive.
