A worthy final chapter

It is a shame THQ went down. But thankfully they were able to give us some truly epic titles in their final years (Space Marine, DoW II Retribution, CoH 2, Metro 2033 etc.). Here are the reasons why you - if you own Dow II and/or Chaos Rising - should buy this game: CAMPAIGN: I've heard everyone...

Definitely a fun game, especially if you enjoy 40K, wave-based defence or Relic RTS. Pretty cheap and very fun to play with a group of friends (Unless you play filthy xenos scum). The playable commanders are all varied and fun to play.

Dawn of War II: Retribution Collector's Edition (PC): Perfect!

Solid, working game with tons of replayability just need a texture overhaul.

Great level of replayability and you can choose between squads or heroes

the models are a little low-res when you zoom all the way in

Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II: Retribution

Let it never be said that Relic, the developers behind Dawn of War II, doesn't understand the concept of an expansion pack. With Chaos Rising they upped the stakes, of both the storyline and the gameplay by introducing new gameplay elements, the story getting grander and introducing another faction...

Ability to play as six diverse races; combat is intense and action packed as ever; the Imperial Guard is quite a game changer in multiplayer; new Last Stand arena is hard as hell

Levels are reused in their entirety in single player campaign; campaign missions grow repetitive; slightly muddled narrative from first two games

Great buy !

The game is so much better than chaos rising and dow2 absolutely love the campaign and multiplayer - only downfall is that the campaign is to similar with every race, not enough difference for my liking but all in all a great game!

THQ keeps bringing it!

I thought maybe Retribution would be just another expansion, it's not. THQ made a fantastic remodel of a game that is already great, I love the new...

Game play; graphics; AI; overall appearance; realism

I like to have larger units; the original Dawn of War allowed this but I have since adapted

Warhammer 40:000: Dawn of War II: Retribution

Retribution is a solid stand alone expansion that I would have no problem paying $50 for... and it retails for $30.

Continue to Enjoy Dawn of War II with Retribution

AS noted in another review, the campaign is short, but you can play it with 6 races. The "Last Stand" mode is not for novices. You should be familiar with the DoW "Last Stand" scenarios and have some virtual "combat" time under your belt with other DoW series games before playing (not required, but...

Warhammer 40,000 Dawn of War 2: Retribution Review

Last time we checked in with Aurelia, the Space Marines were fighting the forces of Chaos (in the first Dawn of War II expansion, Chaos Rising), and in the process sort of saving the day - or not.

Six-playable races; Introduction of some more RTS-y elements; Expanded multiplayer

More of a side-step than pushing the series forward; Campaign story a lot less focused; Possibly even gibberish to non 40K fans
