Definitely a fun game, especially if you enjoy 40K, wave-based defence or Relic RTS. Pretty cheap and very fun to play with a group of friends (Unless you play filthy xenos scum). The playable commanders are all varied and fun to play.

AS noted in another review, the campaign is short, but you can play it with 6 races. The "Last Stand" mode is not for novices. You should be familiar with the DoW "Last Stand" scenarios and have some virtual "combat" time under your belt with other DoW series games before playing (not required, but...

The game is so much better than chaos rising and dow2 absolutely love the campaign and multiplayer - only downfall is that the campaign is to similar with every race, not enough difference for my liking but all in all a great game!

Gameplay

Last time we checked in with Aurelia, the Space Marines were fighting the forces of Chaos (in the first Dawn of War II expansion, Chaos Rising), and in the process sort of saving the day - or not.

This game is perfect for any type of gamer so long as you enjoy a good RTS. I know the other reviewer says it isnt stand along, and i guarantee you that if Relic and THQ say it is then it is. There will always be initial bugs to work out but then that is true of all games.
