Last time we checked in with Aurelia, the Space Marines were fighting the forces of Chaos (in the first Dawn of War II expansion, Chaos Rising), and in the process sort of saving the day - or not.

It is a shame THQ went down. But thankfully they were able to give us some truly epic titles in their final years (Space Marine, DoW II Retribution, CoH 2, Metro 2033 etc.). Retribution is a solid stand alone expansion that I would have no problem paying $50 for... and it retails for $30.

2010 was a good year for strategy games thanks to a number of fantastic releases including Relic Entertainment's first expansion to Dawn of War II, entitled Chaos Rising. A full year later, we are graced with yet another stand-alone expansion, this time it's all about Retribution.

With six playable races and campaigns, considerable additions to the gameplay, and a few multiplayer improvements, Dawn of War II: Retribution offers far more than you'd expect from a standalone expansion.

This game is perfect for any type of gamer so long as you enjoy a good RTS. I know the other reviewer says it isnt stand along, and i guarantee you that if Relic and THQ say it is then it is. There will always be initial bugs to work out but then that is true of all games.
