Verbatim Store 'n' Go V3 USB Drive (16GB)

★★★★ 3.5
Verdict: Verbatim's Store 'N' Go line of USB drives has grown a little bit larger and more than a little bit faster with the Store 'N' Go V3, a 16GB drive that gets a speed bump, thanks to USB 3.0.
Pros:
  • USB 3.0 offers faster speeds than USB 2.0
  • Low price per GB
  • Optional password protection.
Cons:
  • Performance easily outpaced by other USB 3.0 drives.

Works Great

★★★★★ 3.0
Verdict: Works just as advertised. Great buy to store my Windows 10 installation files for my Surface 3 Tablet on since the tablet does not have a DVD drive.

Junk

★★★★★ 5.0
Verdict: First, the USB plug is retractable but it pushes back into the body when you try to plug it in, making it a royal pain to plug in. Second, it is not 64GB, and I'm not talking about confusing GiB with GB. This drive's capacity is 61,916,311,552 bytes - over 2GB short of its advertised size.

Slow to Load

★★★★★ 5.0
Verdict: Plug it into a USB3 port and wait at least 10+ seconds for this drive to be recognized. Its the same for both my MAC and laptop. This is so much slower than any other flash drive (even USB 2) that I own. Most other drives are recognized within 2-3 seconds.

  • decent capacity
Cons:

Verbatim Store 'n' Go

★★★★ 3.5
Verdict: Decent but with few extras, Verbatim's Store 'n' Go has very little to distinguish it from other run-of-the-mill USB flash drives.
Pros:
  • Compact, cool design
  • includes USB extension cord
Cons:
  • A tad expensive per megabyte

Verbatim Store'n'Go Executive Metal 8 GB

★★★★ 3.5
Verdict: The Verbatim Executive Metal USB drive is a good looking and really sturdy flash drive. Its bulky armor looks may appeal to those who want to feel the weight and cold of metal in their hands or on their key chains.
Pros:
  • Metal casing
  • Retractable USB connector
  • Fairly sturdy
  • Very good read speeds - as advertised
  • Available with up to 64 GB capacity
Cons:
  • Write speed horribly slow - nowhere near what is promised
  • Somewhat bulky
  • There are more durable sticks out there
  • Other sticks are cheaper and faster

A big drive for big things....

★★★★★ 5.0
Verdict: A little research goes a long way regarding these drives. This one didn't list it's speed, but Verbatim is a very trustworthy brand which is why I chose it over the competition. To unlock the full capacity go to MyComputer>Right Click Flash Drive>Format>Select "File System" to NTSF and other options...
Pros:
  • Let me say after owning about a dozen different USB Flash Drives this one is by far the best build quality I've used
  • It is hard, it feels like it could take a beating, and the slide out USB tip actually clicks firmly in place.
Cons:
  • No instructions regarding Fat32/NTSF format options
  • Basically this card can come up as 4gigabytes without formatting it to NTSF which unlocks it's 59.7 gigabyte capacity
  • All flash drives advertise a bit bigger then their actual size so losing space should always be expected

Finicky

★★★★ 4.0
Verdict: These are just OK for the price. Two things I noticed detracting from the value of these drives is ONE: They do not fully lock in place so if you use the wrong amount of force the connector end of the drive slides back inside the enclosure making a proper contact between the drive and your port...

Verbatim V3 USB 3.0 Memory Stick Black 128GB

★★★★★ 5.0
Verdict: I was going to get a hard drive, but there is no need when I have a USB that has 128GB of space in it! I was blown away when I saw this USB stick, and I knew there was no need to buy any other storage device because my needs weren't that substantial.
