V-Rally 4 Review – PlayStation 4

Does Codemasters have anything to worry about at this point Not at the immediate time…but they might want to keep an eye on the rearview mirror as V-Rally 4 is coming on fast.

Positives + V-Rally; it's back! + Incredible variety of racing and locales + Gorgeous graphics

Negatives - It's a lot like Dirt - Loading times are terrible - One song; really

Game Review: V-Rally 4

As a fan of Rally-oriented games, I have to say that I am over the moon with the current generation of consoles. As seemingly, we are getting a brand new title of this particular genre every couple of months.

Enjoyable Gameplay; Satisfying Amount of Basic Content

Underwhelming Visuals; Disappointing Progression System; Inconsistent AI

V-Rally 4

The original V-Rally, the 20-year-old original, was developed by a bunch of talented veterans who at that time formed the core of Infogrames Multimedia. The game is a PlayStation classic, with its superb graphics (for the time) and amazing focus on the split screen multiplayer portion of the game.

V-Rally 4 review – race against time

Classic racing franchise V-Rally makes a surprise return to gaming, but does it do any more than cash in on fans' nostalgia

Uncomplicated, fun, and accessible arcade racing with five disciplines to master and some added depth for those wanting it; Varied environments and track designs

A fairly uninspired core experience not worthy of the premium price tag; Career mode

The rally scene in the 90s was something fierce. SEGA kicked off an era of mud and dirt in the racing scene with SEGA Rally and before long we had Colin McRae and Gran Turismo 2 with their own take on the genre. V-Rally has always been the game trying to match the rest.

Stunning level design; Split-screen; Hillclimb events can be fun

Handles like ass in the entry-level class; Not many cars to choose from; That one menu song..

V-Rally 4 (PlayStation 4) Review

For those who remember it, V-Rally is synonymous with the PlayStation and the Nintendo 64. The series rose to prominence in the late-nineties, during a phase when racers were rapidly evolving due to new technology.

V-Rally 4 Review

It's never that V-Rally 4 is actively bad, but the 16-year wait since V-Rally 3 is no way near worth it. No part of the overall experience surpasses the benchmarks set by more polished, mechanically complex, spectacular or enjoyable racing games from both the arcade and sim camps.

V-Rally 4 Review – PS4

V-Rally 4 is the newest installment of the V-Rally series, marking a surprising return to gaming. With nearly sixteen years since V-Rally 3, and more than twenty since the first V-Rally on the PlayStation, V-Rally 4 has a lot to live up to in reputation.
