Urbanears Kransen

The era of cheap earphones sounding like garbage has swiftly become history. It's now possible to recommend pairs around $50 or less now, when a few years ago I cringed at the thought. The Urbanears Kransen, at $39 (direct), is an in-ear pair with a smart, simple design and gobs of bass response.

Powerful deep bass response, no distortion at top volumes; Earpieces snap together for easier, tangle-free stowing

Too bass-heavy and not enough high-mid or high frequency presence for purists.

URBANEARS Kransen Earbuds

These fit nicely and stay put. The sound is great and the bass is better than I expected. A very smart design that keeps tangling to a minimum. Ruggedly construted. *The color of the product REI has provided seems a bit off to my eyes. They're closer to pink than they are red. See attached image.

So good bought 2 pair

These were reviewed on Wire Cutte------------ lost my first pair that's why I bought a second. But they're excellent, very tangle free with the material they use. And they stay in my ear. And they're pretty cheap at B&H.

Awful - Returned Immediately.

Considering the price and the reviews, expectations were good. However, the sound quality was poor, but more notably, the volume was terrible and it was actually difficult to hear much at all. When compared to my bog-standard Sony EX in-ear headphones, the comparison was painfully evident.

Nice headphones

After wearing them more and more, the discomfort is gone, I guess my ears just had to adjust the these bad boys. Highly recommended!

Sound quality is very good, bass is deep and clean, midrange and highs are clear and overall sound is encompassing and immersive; Build quality seems very good (thanks you crafty Swedes!

While the earpiece fits very well; I initially had some discomfort after an hour or 2 of wearing them; not in my ear canal; but the surrounding area where these earpieces fit.

Urbanears Kransen Review

The era of cheap earphones sounding like garbage has swiftly become history. It's now possible to recommend pairs around $50 or less now, when a few years ago I cringed at the thought. The Urbanears Kransen, at $39 (direct), is an in-ear pair with a smart, simple design and gobs of bass response. Typically, you'd expect earphones in this price range to either have no real bass or to distort the bass like crazy, but the Kransen brings the low frequency response and manages to avoid distortion. Purists seeking a flat-response or crisp sound signature should look elsewhere, though; this is an option for bass lovers, balanced out with just enough high-mid presence so that things don't sound muddy. The Kransen doesn't quite edge out the Editors' Choice JLab Fit, but it's a solid set at a good price. DesignAvailable in ten colors, the Kransen's( at Amazon) look is modern and simple. The plastic on the earpieces is a matte surface that matches the cable's color, and the only deviation f...

The Urbanears Kransen is a budget earphone pair that delivers intense bass response at a very affordable price.

Powerful deep bass response, no distortion at top volumes; Earpieces snap together for easier, tangle-free stowing

Too bass-heavy and not enough high-mid or high frequency presence for purists; Light on accessories
