This second iteration Wonderboom is every inch as good as the first model. It's an easy recommendation if you're after a compact Bluetooth speaker that will do it all, offer all-round protection and a bassy 360-degree sound. You can even stereo pair two together.
Great sound quality, Plenty of bass, Stereo pairing, Good battery life, Compact design
Uses older Micro-USB connection, The older model is almost just as good for less cash
A rugged little wonder that brings a mega boost to your outdoor soirées
Stellar sound for speaker this size; Stereo works a treat; Super rugged; Excellent value

Like a Tequila Sunrise, punchy in appearance, and deceptively effective, the Wonderboom 2 is a mighty delight. Ideal for taking to picnics to soundtrack your sandwich session or even if you’re looking to use one (or two) indoors to supercharge your audio set-up in the bedroom of your halls of residence. Audio quality is ramped up from its predecessor giving you better bass and more detail in the mid-range, whilst still being just as dinky and portable. Shake it, stir it, roll it, there’s nothing precious about it, apart from all the things that matter: size, sound, portability and price. We’ll take a Wonderboom 2. On the rocks. Somewhere sunny.

We would have enjoyed USB C for charging if only because most accessories are going that way. It also makes one more cable to pack if you’re planning to take your speaker with you on a vacation.
The Wonderboom 2 was released in 2019 for an RRP of £90 / $99 / €99 / CAD$130 / AUD$130.
Big sound, Easy to use, 13-hour battery life, Outdoor Boost mode
Not much of note
Improved sound, useful Outdoor Mode
"Athleisure" fabric wrap seems a little too trendy
