The new Wonderboom 2 ($100) from Ultimate Ears is a killer little Bluetooth speaker that packs a lot of punch for its tiny size. It sounds great, lasts forever, and is probably bombproof. It’s a winner all around.

Some few years ago, Ultimate Ears gave us the Wonderboom – a little speaker that provided us with excellent sounds at an attractive price. With some great colors and easy to manage controls, there were a ton of reasons to love the speakers.

WonderBoom 2 is a welcome upgrade to the WonderBoom with its increased sound profile, Double Up feature and revised styling. Only gripe maybe is you can’t do the Double Up stereo pairing with your older models if you have.

We would have enjoyed USB C for charging if only because most accessories are going that way. It also makes one more cable to pack if you’re planning to take your speaker with you on a vacation.

The Wonderboom 2 is a great little speaker that's perfect for both indoor and outdoor use. It's super portable, puts out impressive sound, and it's not too expensive at $100.

"Athleisure" fabric wrap seems a little too trendy

As long as the price isn't too high for you, there's almost nothing to dislike about the Wonderboom 2. Ultimate Ears has taken its pocket rocket and made it even better with a more useful design, longer battery life and an Outdoor Boost mode. You might only be annoyed at the lack of an aux input.
