I had several problems with this unit although I got it to work eventually. The unit initially did not broadcast a SSID. It broadcasted a SSID immediately after I updated the firmware. This cost me several hours.

Highly recommend this if you are looking to extend an existing wi-fi network. Very easy to setup and share the same SSID to extend network, even if using with non Ubiquiti access points. Has never needed to be restarted, always stays online. Has software for Mac as well.

Ubiquiti gear is great. These AP's are powerful and when using more than one and the Ubiquiti Secure Gateway product it hands over devices from one AP to another as you move around. Basically a MESH network but business grade
