I wanted to set up a dedicated vlan for my "internet of things" (hue lights, smart thing, google home, roku, etc) so they would just have access to the net to download updates, searches, etc, but not have access to everything else (NAS, other computers, etc).

I installed this directly below my USG Pro 4 router, and the blue light color doesn't match, and the faceplate thickness doesn't match. It works great, but why Oh well I'll put it in a rack where nobody notices.

For those that are into the Ubiquiti ecosystem, this is a pretty darn nice aggregation switch for tying the network together, and connecting the servers and NAS right into the core of the network. It's a minor pity that there isn't a PoE port that you could connect and power a CloudKey Gen2+ from, e.g. for pulling Unifi camera feeds from multiple switchs, so for now that has to sit on another PoE capable switch. But with the speeds offered, it doesn't make too much difference. I'm liking the move to fibre connections between switches with 2x link aggregation, as well as the benefits of electrical isolation that we didn't have previously.
