After reading all the great reviews about this product, I went and bought a unit earlier today. Very much felt like I was opening an Apple product - the same great experience and packaging. Downloaded the app, attached the ethernet cable to my ISP modem, plugged in, upgraded firmware and we are a much happier family! Now have excellent Wifi strength in the end bedroom, whereas before it was only fair. We've moved all our devices to the new Amplifi wifi and have better coverage around our property and also speed. Recommend 100%.

I bought this Amplifi from PB in Welly a few days ago. I've read about the router online and made my decision to purchase it. Best purchase ever The very helpful staff member advised me to update the firmware of the Amplifi, as VLAN tagging is a new feature that has been added. Bought two of the Amplifi routers almost a month ago now and set up in mesh mode (needed the LAN ports only available on the router units themselves). Extremely easy to set up and they have been rock solid ever since. Very good wifi signal throughout the house now and Android app makes it a breeze to manage the network and set up. Connected the router directly to a Spark fibre connection and have had no problems whatsoever. don't let the size fool you! this router is really powerful even without the extenders! I bought this unit to replace the cheap orbi I got just because the signal on it was poor and the speed was slow when connected to the satellite! This one is basically the same cost as the set but the range is further than the 2 combined!! If you have a bigger house you can buy the extenders as needed and since it is a mesh network you get all the benefits of seamless transition and auto switching between the 5ghz and 2.4ghz network without any user input!

I bought this about 6 months ago, and I have been delighted with how it works. It was very simple to install and two updates to the software have been installed without any problems. The coverage is consistent and strong through the house. It also reaches into the patio area and gives coverage for BBQ's and sound systems across the network.
