Stomping on everyones toes with Usman was very fun
Great game, good improvements from previous titles, enjoy the new submission/grappling system, and the fact that you can block while bobbing and weaving just like the fight night games. Graphics are improved, and our man Izzys on the cover to top it off…
Just buy the game because Israel Adesanya is in it. It is a brilliant game, very realistic and challenging. 9.5/10
UFC 4 is an enjoyable trip into the world of mixed-martial arts which makes some ample improvements to the formula when compared to previous entries. While it can still feel underbaked and bland in certain areas, such as the career mode, it has been refined with a stellar onboarding experience that makes it super accessible to newcomers.
More accessible than ever for newcomers to the sport ; The combat system is fast, fluid and satisfying as you learn new skills; Career Mode is a worthwhile journey through the world of UFC ; Playful arenas and costumes add a much needed dose of personality ;
The overall package can still feel a little bland and dated visually ; Some mechanics can feel detached due to their status as minigames ; Character creator and career mode story feel underbaked ;
I like the new control setup of the ground game and submissions it feels a lot easier then feeling vibrations and thinking if you doing it right, i will say online/offline it is a bit buggy ATM in changing your career fighters outfits and loading the clothing, but overall i like the new controls and the career mode sponsors and the rest of it, But EA needs to bring out a new Fight Night.
Smoother and more realistic playability whilst being in clinches and going for or defending takedowns. New basic ground controls makes it impossible to win on hard so switch the controls back to legacy mode. Graphics is the same as ufc 3 if not sometimes worse with some fighters who aren't big name. Career mode has implemented a partial story line but gets old quite fast as you defeat each fighter in your division over and over again
Has quite a few bugs & balance issues at the moment. Missing moves, modes & other elements that were in 3 as well as EA obviously targeting more casual fans this time around (micro transactions, fortnite style emotes & customisation). Game is still fun but reuses a lot of animations from the last 3 games & career mode feels like EA gave up halfway through developing. More of a UFC 3.5 than a full upgrade. Will hopefully improve over time with patches & updates but I’d wait for a sale at its present state.
Its ok bit of new fighting game fun . I don’t like the grapple system. K O mode and back yard brawls are cool . But all the moves are the same they need more fighter specific moves or signature KOs would be good.
This game has some serious flaws which will need to be addressed by EA sports. But the service from Mighty Ape was efficient
EA is back again with a half-finished game riddled with Online bugs. It is slightly redeemable with the small improvements with advanced fight moves, fighter customization, and ground game. However, if you are a fight fan the career mode is fun to play with small (real small) improvements in outside octagon activities. UFC 3 is much more superior due to its easy fight controls, dynamic movement, and the incredibly PLAYABLE online championships
