Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes Review

Dan has a bad time with Travis Touchdown and is still recovering.

The game can look ok when the camera isn't a mile high in the sky; I'm struggling to think of anything; It has an end

Where to start Gameplay is mundane and repetitive; Dialogue is so cringey it's bad; Graphics and animation are last-gen at best; Level design is uninspired and feels incredibly copy paste.

Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes (Nintendo Switch) Review

Repetitive, dry, and inexplicably uninteresting, Travis Strikes Again is a massive misstep for a series with an otherwise solid track record. It's not so much the near complete abandonment of what made No More Heroes so appealing that plagues the hack n' slash, but the all-around drop in quality...

Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes Switch review - "Frustratingly repetitive"

No More Heroes was a ridiculously over-the-top brawler about an insufferable, arrogant nerd murdering people with a laser sword for profit. It was stylish, violent, magnificently bizarre, and a breath of fresh air for the mostly child-friendly Wii.

Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes

"So you're back, you son of a b**ch. We thought that you had retired, that you had hung up the beam katana for good. But no, you had to light it up once again, you had to unleash another stupid bloodshed.

Semi-pro hero

Semi-pro hero It's still as irreverent as ever. You'll get plenty of fourth wall breaking, "what the shit," and "nice work, dickhead" dialogue in the first few minutes, just in case you weren't 100% positive that you were playing a Suda game.

Review: Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes

While Travis Strikes Again isn't the "No More Heroes 3" we were hoping for, it is nonetheless an entertaining action game that's certainly worth checking out, especially for fans of Grasshopper Manufacture and their distinctive style.

Simple but satisfying combat; Fantastic soundtrack; Packed with references and humour; Quirky presentation

Some frustrating moments; Lack of clarity in portable mode; A few camera issues
