I was disappointed when I found out the write speed is half the read speed. I was using this for backing up media on a shoot. It still is fast for that, but not as good as other options. For editing, however, it's awesome! And it is a very good value for the capacity.

Exceeded my expectations. I purchased a separate thunderbolt cable. One was included. Maybe I did not read what was included well enough but was a pleasant surprise. Drive also operates using USB3 as well.

I used this SSD as an external replacement for my Mac connected with its enclosed Thunderbolt cable. Everything works faster. Startup time went from 2 minutes, 35 seconds to 50 seconds. Very easy to configure, especially if you have a Time Machine backup. Highly recommended.
