I migrated my OS using Paragon SSD Migrate (which I recommend) It lets you decide what folders and programs to migrate over so if your system is a bit too big to migrate over the program will let you pick and choose (while leaving in the essential boot files, of course) what folders to transfer...

I put this in a 3 year old laptop that originally came with Win7. I had already put Win 8 and that helped speed it up, but I sure wish I had put this SSD in a long time ago. It is amazing how fast it starts and shuts down as well as opening programs. No more waiting around!!

Faster boot and most OS actions. I am pleased with the improvement. However, like another reviewer the bracket holes were not the same as my drive bay - not Dell but off the shelf in Amazon.

One of the least expensive 128GB SSDs out there. Performance is average for an SSD, but much better when compared to a disk based hard drive.

Poor Performance

Did all sorts of self-help stuff first to identify, then fix the problem. This included testing the RAM and my numerous reinstalls. Possible that this drive just doesn't play nice with WIndows 10 for some reason.

It was very fast and worked well for a few months; Through August and most of September I had no problems

Then I started getting error messages about Windows being corrupted; Next thing I know the drive is completely wiped; I reinstall Windows on it, woks fine for a day or two, then has registry issues; Wiped it myself this time and reinstalled again.
