Apparently is better than the MX100 and Ultra II in terms of real-world performance; recommended by Anandtech: http://www.anandtech.com/show/8792/transcend-ssd370-128gb-256gb-512gb-review/

Transcend SSD370 512 Gb SSD Review

What was once ultra-expensive and rare quickly becomes cheap and common in the personal computer market. Storage is possibly the best example of this. Indeed, the storage market has changed quite a bit in the 17 years I have been a computer enthusiast.

Transcend SSD370 128GB SATA 6Gb/s SSD Review

Solid-State Drives were expensive when they were first introduced to the consumer market. Back in 2008 Legit Reviews spent nearly $3,600 to purchase five Intel X25-E 32GB SSD's for the server that was running the site.

Most effective investment in speed

I have two video editing machines that occupy the same corner desk. I can start them both at the same time. Before the addition of this SSD these two Win7 Pro machines would start within seconds of each other. Now the SSD boot drive machine is ready nearly a minute before the other one.

Boot time improved by 45 seconds or more; Websites now display with the same speed as when I moved from a phone modem to a cable modem..; which has slowed considerably over subsequent years

It took this long for the prices to drop to my ability to pay

Easy to install

It works as it was described! Easy to install, just need to find the right screw to hold the card in place. Gave new life to my older laptop.

So far so good

I have this product for 3 months and so far so good. The only problem I had was with the size as it was a bit thinner than my original hard drive so it was getting lose inside the laptop. I added a piece of tape to keep it in position and haven't had a problem since then. Good product and good price

Transcend SSD370 Review

Transcend's SSD370 delivers swift performance in capacities all the way up to 1TB.

Consistently fast read and write speeds; Offered in a wide range of sizes

A bit expensive for the capacity

Transcend SSD370

Transcend's premium SSD offering consists of a custom Silicon Motion controller that enables encryption and DEVSLP, but questionable flash makes it a poor choice. Transcend makes solid-state drives (SSDs) for both original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and channel customers.

A low cost SSD that is fast enough for casual users

What drive did I just buy: silver; black; Micron; SpecTek? Questionable flash; questionable marketing; and unknown reliability

Great product

It loads win7(64 bit) in about 30 seconds.

Transcend's SSD370S is a better-than-average SSD thanks to a deep bundle and features, but its price and warranty, relative to competitors such as Samsung, suppress its value proposition.

Available in six capacities; Includes 3.5-inch desktop bay adapter; Several high-end features; including nicely unified software suite

Three-year warranty is less than what competing drives offer; So-so write speeds; given the price; Unclear endurance rating
