TomTom is taking its knowledge of automotive GPS to the fitness world with the $169 Runner GPS watch. This light and comfortable wristwatch can track your runs - both outdoors and on a treadmill - and then uploads the data to one of several fitness sites.

I had a Nike GPS watch for several years and I loved it. When I got this watch, at first sight, did not think much of it. I was wrong. It connects to the satellite quickly and uploads the information as soon as you connect it. Battery so far has had a very good life. It also charges quickly.

This is a really good watch for the price. Very reliable and easy to use. It also syncs with the nike running app which is really convenient for me since that's what I started out with

The watch performs as advertized. It is very light weight and easy to use while running. The results appear to be accurate. I am fairly obsessive about recording the length of my runs and this watch gives me the ability to vary my routes daily and still have an accurate measurement of the distance.

Although it does not have as many features as some other smart watches for serious runners this is a good piece of kit. The mapping accuracy and GPS fix are excellent. Updates are regularly provided to add new functions
