TomTom Runner GPS Watch Review

TomTom is taking its knowledge of automotive GPS to the fitness world with the $169 Runner GPS watch. This light and comfortable wristwatch can track your runs - both outdoors and on a treadmill - and then uploads the data to one of several fitness sites.

Comfortable to wear; Easy to read while you run; Intuitive controls; Good battery life

Can't sync workout data via Bluetooth; Doesn't record split times

TomTom Multi-Sport GPS watch

Many novice and experienced runners use GPS watches. They're great for keeping a close eye on your average pace throughout a run, particularly during those last few kilometres when you're striving towards the finish line.

The TomTom Multi-Sport is reliable, durable GPS watch suited for runners, swimmers and cyclists of all levels. We feel it's on par with other entry-level models for a similar price.

Single button for easy menu navigation; Watch face & button slip out of band as one unit; Price comparable to other entry-level GPS watches;

Battery life could be improved; Heart rate monitor is an extra cost;

TomTom Runner review

Wearable tech is all the rage at the moment, particularly smartwatches. It's hardly a surprise, then, that plenty of manufacturers want a slice of the pie. But what makes TomTom - the company better known for its satnav devices - believe it has what it takes to create the sports watch that you'll...

Comfortable; plenty of options; open platform support for services like RunKeeper; good enough battery life; as a watch it's great

Need a computer (no app connection); need to connect every three days; no real control over historical activities; doesn't use screen real-estate to the fullest; needs a docking station to charge and connect; TomTom MySports is poor; limitations to Race mode

TomTom's latest entry into what has become a busy sports GPS watch market is a slim-profile, proficient watch with a range of innovative features that set it apart. It's thinner (less than half an inch) than any other GPS watch on the market, thanks in part to the fact that some of its mass,...

TomTom Runner GPS Watch review

The TomTom Runner GPS Watch is the company's latest offering within the running category after a few years of partnering with Nike. So it was a bit expected that they would be releasing a dedicated unit for runners.

Goondu review: TomTom Runner GPS watch

If I reviewed the TomTom Runner GPS watch based only on how fast it made me run, it would score top marks. With this sports watch strapped to my wrist one afternoon, I ran like no tomorrow, clocking a speed I had not seen in years.

TomTom Runner Watch

Although it does not have as many features as some other smart watches for serious runners this is a good piece of kit. The mapping accuracy and GPS fix are excellent. Updates are regularly provided to add new functions

Pure Gold!

It really changed my life. It has enabled me to appreciate and improve my running and training. I was a new runner barely reaching 5K, thanks to this little friend I have managed to run 10K and counting. HR works well, just keep an eye to update the GPS and off you go.

TomTom Multi-Sport Cardio sport watch review

We like the TomTom Multi-Sport Cardio, although it is far from perfect. It is built to last, and comfortable to wear, without being stylish. Critically, the built-in GPS and heartrate monitors are great, and battery life is good. But connectivity options aren't all that good, and it isn't cheap. But if you are sports mad, it is a good choice.
