Far Cry 2 (PS3)

With war eating up almost every corner of the world, 'Far Cry 2' gives you the reigns to eliminate the unpitying forces behind an unending war. Imagine this: Jackal, an arms dealer beyond all scopes of sanity, fuelling two belligerent sides with hatred by his supply of arms for a fortune.

"Not bad but not great."

Shows heaps of potential but needs some improvements. Great voice command and good UI and basic gameplay however there are a few annoyances. the fixed camera angle is irritating. If you are only left with ground units its very difficult to see where the enemy is as you are limited to ‘unit attached'...

No Toto included

Play it your way The sun begins to set to the west, barely peeping over a mountain range looming in the distance. A small wind bustles the grass and leaves in the trees. Below a small hill, several soldiers armed to the teeth with shotguns, assault rifles, sniper rifles, and grenades stand guard,...

Tom Clancy's EndWar

That voice command system might be the slickest thing about EndWar, but the underlying Total-War-esque framework of turn-based strategy and real-time tactics is worth a thumbs-up by itself.

Great strategy game

I am a big fan of strategy games and I was skeptical when buying this one, but now I don't regret it at all. Nice scenarios and a lot of action. A big variety of playing modes and still some people playing multiplayer.

At its core, EndWar is a bit too simple, but it does offer a unique voice command system and terrific production values.

Many games put you in the role of a commander; few do it with the kind of immediacy that Tom Clancy's EndWar delivers. In this innovative real-time strategy game, you don a headset and issue commands to your units by speaking your wishes to your squads. Sound like a gimmick

Innovative voice command mechanic makes you feel powerful; Fantastic audio and visuals put you in the thick of the action; Persistent online campaign makes matches feel meaningful; Different match types make good use of uplink capture mechanic

Single-player campaign has no story to speak of; All three factions play the same way; Limited unit types make for simple rock-paper-scissors skirmishes

Tom Clancy’s EndWar Review

The era of hands-free headsets has given everyone an alibi for talking to him- or herself. If someone catches you muttering aloud your caffeine-fueled machinations for world domination, you can now give them a smile, touch your hand to your ear to feign adjusting your headset, and go about your...

Impressive voice-recognition technology; Solid core RTS gameplay; Promising online mode; Simple play mechanics

Lackluster visuals; No personal investment

Tom Clancy's EndWar

Having recently seen the brash, flash, voice-commanded Xbox version of Endwar and been reasonably impressed, we had an inkling that the...

Brain-tickling war-mongering; Controls work well enough; Well-tuned two-player versus

Non eye-friendly graphics; Nothing we haven't seen done better; No single-cart two-player
