Tokina 17-35mm f/4 AT-X Pro FX Lens Review

The Tokina 17-35mm f/4 AT-X Pro FX Lens is, essentially, a narrower aperture version of the Tokina 16-28mm f/2.8 AT-X Pro FX Lens . These two lenses closely share many features and attributes including an ultra-wide angle focal length range with a fixed max aperture, a solid feel, full frame...

Tokina 17-35mm f/4 Review

This Tokina lens has much less distortion than any other ultrawide zoom, regardless of price. Unlike any other ultrawide zoom, this Tokina's distortion is invisible at almost every setting. Nikon and Canon's best pro ultrawide zooms have double this distortion!

Awesome bang for the buck!

I was a happy user of Tokina 11-16 DX lens for years. So picking a wide angle lens for my D600 was pretty easy. A promo discount helped. I heavily rely on a Lightroom profile for this lens.

Wow, value, durability

Man, I'm writing this review several years after I bought it, and all I can say is: Wow, Value, Durability. It's not the best lens out there, but for the budget, traveling photographer, videographer, vlogger, adventurer, this has proven to be a workhorse that rarely comes off the camera.

Tokina 17-35mm f/4 AT-X PRO FX SD review by SveinG

I have tested this lens with my Nikon D800E. The center sharpness is good for practical use. The border and corners are not as goods as expected. There is also some CA and vignetting wide open, but this is relatively easy to correct from Lightroom. There is almost no distorsion.

Focal Length; price; size; center sharpness

Tokina AT-X 17-35mm f/4 Pro FX Lens Review

Handling and features Performance Verdict Specification An ultra-wide angle 2x zoom lens for full frame Canon and Nikon cameras, which costs around £600 and sports a constant maximum aperture of f/4 and internal focusing.

Very sharp when stopped down; Good build; Some moisture sealing; Low CA and distortion

Performance at maximum aperture could be better; Not much difference in price between this and the Canon alternative (Nikon users may see more appeal in this lens

A Very Nice Landscape Lens

I'm a Professional Photographer and I chose this lens based on previous reviews. It works great with my Nikon D750 and the full frame lens gives me the results I want for large prints. I rarely shoot less than f11 for an aperture setting so I can get great DOF.
