Tivoli Audio Model One Digital Review
Tivoli Audio is best known for its modern design classic, the Model One radio. What Tivoli is not known for is digital audio. Enter the $299.99 Model One Digital, Tivoli's wireless update to the wired-only original. The Model One Digital can stream audio to multiple speakers simultaneously, and reinvents the original's iconic dial as a multifunction aluminum bezel with a digital display at its center. Some of the updates feel half-baked—the screen looks like an MP3 player screen from 2010, and many of the controls have delayed response times. But the chief concern here is the audio itself, as distortion often creeps in at high volume levels. When it's not distorting, the speaker sounds rich and pleasing, but other than looks, it offers few advantages over the competition.
