Titanfall 2 is Respawn's first real test as a studio. Yes, it's a sequel, and Titanfall 2 isn't as groundbreaking or wildly inventive as the original game, but still. With Titanfall , Respawn basked in the popular excitement borne of the studio's inauspicious beginnings as a sort of refugee nation...

Titanfall 2 Review

In the late 90s shooters were fast. Tribes was fast, Quake was fast, Counter-Strike was fast. If you couldn't bunny hop or ski you weren't moving fast enough to be competitive at most LANs. Then for a while they slowed down.

Titanfall 2

Fantastic game, to the point where I had trouble deciding whether to 5 star it or not. You should play this game. The campaign is excellent, the multiplayer is fun and fresh and the trophies are pretty simple to get.

The original Titanfall was a great concept in search of a game. It was a shooter with all the chaos and polish of a modern military FPS, but unshackled from any semblance of reality given the presence of giant mech-style Titans.

It's very inventive and fun, and a great warm-up for the game's excellent multiplayer component, whose gunplay and controls...

Titanfall 2 Review

I finished the single-player campaign of Respawn Entertainment's Titanfall 2 with a big smile on my face. Nearly every issue I had with their first entry had been addressed: there are characters, they have personality, and the seven-hour tale didn't overstay its welcome.

Engaging single-player campaign; Likeable characters; Smooth and exciting gameplay; Strong presentation

Minor gameplay quibbles; Tags

PS4 Review - 'Titanfall 2'

Buy Titanfall 2 The Xbox One-exclusive Titanfall was probably the first major new IP of the current console generation. That's why it's rather exciting to see Titanfall 2 finally make its way to the PS4, so gamers who missed out on the original will have a chance to see what the hype was about.
