Immortal Throne offers some really good high-level content for established Titan Quest fans, while retroactively adding meaningful improvements to the original game.

THQ and Iron Lore embraced the violent side of Greek mythology with last year's Titan Quest, a hack-and-slash role-playing game that charged you, as an anonymous Greek hero, with the task of combating the treacherous elder gods who had escaped their Olympian prison.

Improved inventory system helps pick up the pace; Solid; streamlined hack-and-slash gameplay; Makes original Titan Quest a better game along the way

Voice acting gets annoying quickly; Inconsistent performance on PC that exceeds recommended specs

Titan Quest

There is a ripple in the dreaded summer game industry lull. Going through the release gate a week or so before Prey is Titan Quest, the latest in the long line of action RPGs that enters the scene with hopes of causing some sort of acute index finger disability to players.

Beautiful graphics; music; huge game with an expansive game world; fun combat

Story and characters lack more depth and passion; game feels too generic in some regards; minor interface and AI issues; dual-core CPU issues

Titan Quest is a 3rd person action RPG that brings Diablo-style gameplay to Clash of the Titans-style content. The result is a bit brainless, but oozing with cool, especially if you're a fan of Harryhausen-esque skeleton battles and Greek mythology.

ups: Great graphics; smooth interface; rich ability tree

downs: Can't escape repetitiveness of the genre; can be taxing even on better systems

Titan Quest: Immortal Throne

Overall Immortal Throne doesn't include a whole lot in the way of brand-new content but still offers good value for money and is a classic example of how to produce an add-on pack to complement an already well-received game.

Titan Quest

Diablo 2.5. That's it. For those of you who were looking for a one-word game review there it is. You can now go back to whatever it is that you do when you're not reading game reviews, because, beyond the graphics, there is darned little to set Titan Quest apart from Diablo 2.

Titan Quest

Developed by Iron Lore, Titan Quest is a pure action RPG set in the ancient world, where myth and the gods are real. Based on - and set in - a world of Greek mythology, you play as a human who somehow gets stuck with the job of setting the world right after Titans escape from their underworld...

Titan Quest

Well I'm going to try to write this review without referring to its striking resemblance to Diablo 2 or even mentioning that hallowed game in the first place. Oh, crud, I already blew it. Oh well, there you have it – Titan Quest is the Diablo 2 of Classical Greece.

Titan Quest: Immortal Throne Review

was released, and it's still going strong. Its addictive brand of simplistic gameplay, deep character building and huge number of items really kept gamers coming back.

good if it starts

This is a decent game reminding me of Dungeon Siege but busier. When I have it started I get to Athens and the boss to kill is way tougher than the other foes, so I run around and build up until I can take him down a wee bit anyhow. End of game?
