TicWatch Pro

★★★★★
Verdict: The TicWatch Pro is a smartwatch for those who want style and battery life at an affordable price. While the Mobvoi brand doesn't have the glamour or appeal of more established brands like Guess or Tag Heuer , the Pro offers style and function at a considerably lower cost than other Wear OS options...

TicWatch Pro

★★★★★
Verdict: After messing around at the lower end of the wearables market, Mobvoi has seemingly come out of nowhere in the last 12 months to deliver a raft of exciting, and sought after devices including the Google Assistant powered TicHome Mini , as well as the Ticwatch S & E running Wear OS.

TicWatch Pro review

★★★★★ 3.0
Verdict: The Mobvoi TicWatch Pro does bring something new to the Wear OS smartwatch world. It offers a way to extend battery life on a device that needs exactly that enhancement. While that intention and effort is valiant, it doesn't add that much more life than, say, a Samsung Gear S3 is capable of, unless you switch over to the Essential Mode. The glitchy OS is another concern, but is something I expect should be improvedin time. Still, for early adopters it's a bit of a gamble. That said, this is a good looking and solid watch with lots of features for the price, and it could represent a new way of delivering the Wear OS experience to the wrist. All in all a promising, but too often frustrating, experience. READ MORE: 10 best smartwatches
Pros:
  • Innovative dual screen design
  • Solidly built
  • Decent heart-rate tracking
  • Contactless payments
Cons:
  • Heavy
  • Glitchy
  • Battery life improvements aren't huge

TicWatch Pro 2020 review

★★★★ 4.0
Verdict: The TicWatch Pro 2020 offers up advanced sports monitoring but is also well suited to everyday wear. It helps you train, analyzes your sleep, wakes you up in the morning and throws the weather your way. Its innovative design centres around that dual AMOLED/FSTN display, which lets you get at pertinent information without the need to fire up the main interface or place excessive strain on the battery. Although cluttered, the Wear OS user experience is also wonderfully feature-packed. The main shortcoming is with its design, which errs on the masculine side and can look very imposing around smaller wrists. However, for less than £230, a watch as complete as the TicWatch Pro 2020 deserves to be known.

TicWatch Pro 4G/LTE Review: Hands-on

★★★★★
Verdict: Mobvoi's new TicWatch Pro 4G/LTE looks much like its 2018 predecessor but the addition of twice the memory and 4G connectivity render this iteration far more versatile and enjoyable to use. Not everyone will appreciate the humble fit and finish, plus its cellular connectivity is limited to Vodafone in the UK and Verizon in the US, but so as long as you fit the bill, this new smartwatch is an affordable, capable option to consider.

Ticwatch Pro review

★★★★ 3.5
Verdict: There’s ups and downs when it comes to the Ticwatch Pro. For starters, the design leaves a lot to be desired and the watch will be too heavy and chunky for some. However, we love the innovative dual-screen design so you can easily get information with the basic LCD panel and then use the OLED display like normal the rest of the time. This works better outdoors, saves battery and means you still have a functioning watch when the battery is too low. Performance isn’t the best and we found step counting a bit out of whack. That said, if you want something cheaper than many rivals with GPS, NFC and a heart rate monitor then this could be a good choice.

TicWatch Pro review: Best battery-life smartwatch outshines the big brands

★★★★★
Verdict: Need an attractive smartwatches that you can wear to work and wear during your workouts? The TicWatch Pro is that watch. Don't need the sports stuff, but want a Wear OS watch with great battery life? TicWatch Pro is that watch too. It’s hard to think of many smartwatches at this price point that offer anything as complete.
Pros:
  • Great battery life
  • Comfortable to wear
  • Versatile design
  • Much more affordable than competitors
Cons:
  • Apps load a bit slowly
  • Will be a little too chunky for some
  • No LTE so no true wireless freedom

Mobvoi TicWatch Pro 4G/LTE review

★★★★★ 3.0
Cellular smartwatches are few and far between. Your best options revolve around Samsung’s Galaxy Watch or the Apple Watch Series 5, Series 4 or 3. But what about 4G LTE watches on Google’s Wear OS platform? The last few launched in 2017, including the Huawei Watch 2 LTE and the failed Verizon Wear24, so it’s slim pickings for Wear OS lovers. Mobvoi, known for making ultra-affordable smartwatches running Wear OS, is here to fill the gap with the 4G LTE version of its TicWatch Pro. The TicWatch Pro launched last year, but the TicWatch Pro 4G/LTE is slightly different. Not only does it have a cellular connection (which means you’ll need to pay a monthly data plan for the watch), but it also bumps up RAM for improved performance, and has subtle design changes. It’s feature-packed and costs $299, easily making it the best Wear OS smartwatch you can buy if you’re looking for connectivity even without your phone. But first, a quick word on the watch’s 4G LTE connectivity. It only works throug...
Pros:
  • Unique dual-display technology
  • Two-day battery life
  • Cellular connectivity
  • Accurate fitness and heart-rate tracking capabilities
  • IP68, NFC for Google Pay, GPS, internal storage
Cons:
  • Performance occasionally stutters
  • Bulky, masculine design with ugly preinstalled watch faces
  • 4G LTE is limited to Verizon
