The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt sets the bar for open-world RPGs on the PS4. The world is gorgeous with realistic weather, sunrises, and sunsets. Combat is, for most of the game, fluid and fair, if unforgiving.
Massive open world; Lush scenery and noteworthy landscapes; Straightforward and fluid combat system
Buggy animation and collision detection; Frame rate decreases during complex multi-monster battles
I remember seeing The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt for my first time nearly two years ago. I walked into its E3 2013 presentation after hearing great things from others and was shocked by what I saw.
Massive and diverse world; Interesting story and characters; Helpful tutorial systems; Fun-to-use magic; Extraordinary quantity of side content; Day/night cycle and weather
Repetitive melee combat; Poor leveling system; Undependable camera and target lock-on; Bugs as far as the eye can see; Tags
Sloppy combat and ongoing optimisation can't quite spoil this dark fantasy adventure, set in a stunning world of blood and black magic.
Relentlessly beautiful vistas; Reading about horrifying ghosts and monsters; Playing cards with blacksmiths; Sailing between the isles of Skellige
Frustrating and punishing combat; Frame rate optimisation is ongoing..
After investing many hours into the witcher 3 some doubts are starting to creep in. The game is good and I am a witcher fan completing my 3rd play threw of the witcher 2 in anticipation of the wild hunt.
There are no two thoughts about how good witcher 3 is. However, the problem I had with snapdeal was that they shipped me a French version of the game. The map, the guidebook, its all in french. Luckily the game was in English and because of that I'm giving it a 4* rating.
There's a lot of competition in the open-world fantasy genre. Going up against the likes of The Elder Scrolls and Dragon Age series is a very daunting task, and most rival titles get crushed under the weight of these juggernauts.
Top tier storytelling; A massive amount of things to do; Next-gen beard growth technology
Clunky controls and combat; Glitches and performance issues; Side-quests can become repetitive
Blood and Wine ends the saga of Geralt of Rivia in style, bringing with it a tale of charming vampires and troublesome friendship set in a stunning new landscape that departs from the bleakness we've known until now.
Beautiful new zone; Armor dyes; Strong story; Strategic boss battles
Weak antagonist
CD Projekt Red's iconic The Witcher series makes its way to PlayStation for the first time with this latest release: The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt . The story of the Witcher has a considerable history, both as a series of games and before that.
A colossal achievement in technical terms, with a level of interaction with the game world and its inhabitants that is unsurpassed in modern video games.
Huge open world environment with a staggering level of detail, and interactivity – where your every decision really does matter; Excellent graphics and great monster hunts
The opening few hours cover a lot of familiar territory if you've played other, similar games; Combat is solid but never remarkable; Lots of bugs and graphical issues pre-release
