The Last of Us: Remastered

It's a funny thing, hype. It's funnier when something lives up to the hype, thus creating more hype, in an endless hype circle. When The Last of Us hit in the middle of last year, it was instantly hailed as the new bar for what gaming could and should be going forward.

Amazing!

This game hasn't won more awards than any other game in history for no reason! Arrived quickly, and the remastered version is even more beautiful than the original. 5 stars all round!

The Last of Us Remastered - Storytelling Redefined

Follow @CyberShack Reviewed on: PlayStation 4 Available on: PlayStation 4 This is a little embarrassing to admit: I've never played the PlayStation 3 version of The Last of Us. I own it - I just never got around to playing it. In fact, I'm pretty sure it's still in its shrink wrap.

Incredible story; Great emphasis on stealth early game; Stunning graphics and ambiance

Stealth mechanics are cast aside in end game; The vast number of collectibles gets in the way of the story; Same three puzzles occur over and over again

The Last of Us Remastered review– Remasterful

It's quite simple really. One of the games on the PlayStation is now one of the best games on the PlayStation 4.

Test : The Last of Us Remastered

The Last of Us fut l'un des tout meilleurs jeux vidéo de l'année 2013.

Review: The Last of Us Remastered is worthy of its name

One of last year's highlights is now one of 2014's best games. The Last of Us remains Naughty Dog's finest hour.

Expertly blends brilliant storytelling with thrilling action; Looks sharper and runs better than ever; Left Behind DLC is a highlight

Carrying ladders still isn't much fun; Feels initially sluggish and less impactful on a second playthrough

The Last of Us: Remastered

Rebuilt in glorious full HD 1080p for PS4 , The Last of Us: Remastered proves – as if proof were needed – that The Last of Us is one of the defining games of the last few years. Maybe you chose to ignore it or maybe you never had a PS3, but in the event that you have never played your way through...

Superb storytelling and immersive gameplay; Enhanced graphics and consistently smooth frame rates; Includes the brilliant Left Behind expansion; Factions multiplayer mode works better

Visual enhancements not as huge as you might expect; No compelling reason to buy it again

The Last of Us Remastered Review

" The Last of Us: Remastered " remains a powerful and compelling game twelve months on. If you've already played the game, the basically full price (and no discount for existing owners) makes it harder to recommend. However, for newcomers, I have no hesitation in recommending the game.

The Last Of Us Remastered review – definitive?edition

Still a stunning achievement in both storytelling and third person adventure, and although this is the definitive version the differences are still minor.

Dynamic, tense, and highly visceral combat against believable human – and inhuman – opponents; Superb storytelling and pitch perfect voice-acting; Meaty and imaginative multiplayer

The story and character development goes nowhere for much of the middle third of the game; No major additions on the PlayStation 3 version, despite the high asking price, and the ally AI is still flawed

There's not really enough distance between the PS3 version of The Last of Us and this new Remaster to make it worth double-dipping, unless you're simply that fixated on counting lines of resolution. If you missed out the first time around, though, you really shouldn't let it slip past again.
