Success is something of a double-edged sword and one would suspect that beneath all the marketing and PR exuberance that the staff at Naughty Dog have had this on their mind throughout development and more so with the release date approaching.
The Last of Us isn't for everyone. Its methodical pace, emphasis on stealth and extreme violence might turn many players away, but it's an emotional tale of survival, wrapped in excellent mechanics and a brilliant world that is well worth experiencing.
