The Last of Us

I'm in a short dark hall watching a Clicker mindlessly shamble towards me. He's not aware of my existence. He can't see. Nevertheless he's done a cracking job of trapping me. Some way behind me are three equally unaware Runners. I'm out of ammo. I crouch behind a crate, and hope that he passes by.

The Last of Us PS3 Review

After the reveal of The Last of Us and hearing that the extremely talented people at Naughty Dog were behind this new IP, I was never going to be concerned if this was going to be a decent game.

Review: The Last of Us

The world as you know it is over. A fungal virus has swept across the US completely devastating society. Everyone who has breathed in the toxic spores has turned into a mindless, zombie-like creature, hell-bent on feeding off the flesh of the living.

Character development; Beautiful environments; Simple and fair upgrade system

Ellie's AI certainly has its moments; Game breaks its own rules

The Last of Us Review

The Last of Us comes into existence with merit before dropping into familiar pitfalls. It is this generation's representative: Expensive and glossy AAA gaming that draws itself into marketing through bloodshed whether it serves the narrative or not.

Alluring production value – Outstanding voice work – grim ambiguous ending - Apocalypse rendered without compromise

Needless multiplayer/online pass – violence trumps narrative – storytelling cliches

The Last of Us Review - PS3

The Last of Us, now we all know that it's action-adventure packed with heavy survival horror title which is exclusive to PS3 only, which is sadness for other platforms because this title is something which can be sole reason to buy new PS3 itself, Don't believe me yet Read on.

The Last of Us

starts off by introducing you to main character Joel, a single father living in Austin, Texas. Following a sudden and unstoppable outbreak of a cordyceps-like infection ravages not only Texas, but also the rest of the country.

+ Fantastic storytelling; + Stunning environments; + Impeccable voice acting; + Crisp gameplay

Review: The Last of Us

If you've been living under a rock since last year, The Last of Us was hailed the almighty ruler of the PlayStation 3 long before its release date.

The Last of Us: Art vs the videogame

The late great film critic, Roger Ebert, infamously said that videogames could never be considered art. Ebert even went on to say that he had tried the "videogame of the year" and was more than ever convinced of his stance. That game? Dark Souls .

Solid shooting and stealth mechanics; wonderfully realised environments

Story may leave you feeling down for a few days

The Last Of Us Review

It's slightly reassuring yet rather disheartening to know that our most of our prized and united moments as a species will come towards the end of our lifespans. Short, sharp glimmers of hope are harder to find in an era where 8 hours of your day is spent in front of a television screen, but so are...
