The Evil Within
Despite letting some of its most compelling aspects die off, The Evil Within is still worth a shot for bringing some unique ideas in the first place, and giving us a new way to think about survival horror.
Pros:
- A compelling and visually powerful world
- Unravels an engaging mystery
- Offers a new take on the survival horror genre
Cons:
- Forced and sometimes finicky combat
- Enemies and sequences that feel like filler
- Dropped plots

THE EVIL WITHIN XBOX ONE
Excellent gaame and a must have for any horror or resident evil fan, this game makes resident evil 5 and 6 look terrible! Gameplay and graphics are superb! Also received this game a day early than its original release date. Zavvi is the best site out there! Thanks very much!!!!!! 10/10 Rating.

Horror games are a bit like comedy games in that you rarely see one done right. Horror games are difficult because they have to create and then build that level of tension that either ends in relief or moments of sheer terror.

Let me start by saying that I am a completionist; I try to explore entire maps and stories besides just the run of the mill speed run like some folks on here. I will admit that I was excited to play this game beforehand as I personally love the survival genre and I was really into Resident Evil 4.

jaw dropping
I Found my self having to close my mouth at moments. The intensity is non stop from start to finish. I love this game and have dropped almost 20 hrs running around killing things truly amazing.

The Evil Within Review
A name particularly resonant in the annals of survival horror in video games is that of Resident Evil. Up until it took a curious and unloved turn for the worse over the last console generation, the series synonymous with the genre, almost epitomising it.
Pros:
- Rewarding difficulty
- Twisted psychological elements
- Some excellent
- haunting motifs
Cons:
- Sometimes disjointed
- RB-operated sneak is fiddly and unreliable
- Very linear
