I am somewhat taken aback by some of the responses on this site. This is an amazing game that has been optimized for a truly mobile experience. We are all aware it costs money to port and optimize a game, right Is sixty dollars really too much for a console quality title on a mobile platform

A very good high quality game which you can't get anywhere else.

If you're not careful, you can find the game progressing before you feel you've got to grips with it. Quite early on, I was forced to confront a dragon. After defeating the beast, I was hailed as some sort of hero, when in reality all I'd done was swing an axe at it.

There are now eight versions of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim . There's the three original versions for PC, PS3, and Xbox 360, the Legendary Edition on PC, PS4, and Xbox One, the virtual reality version for PSVR, and now, the Switch version.

The dream that, to be fair, probably only a handful of complete weirdos ever truly had, is nevertheless now a reality: with its much-heralded release on Switch, in a DLC-complete edition, it's now possible to play Skyrim on the toilet. Or, more likely, in bed, or on a train or plane.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is out now on Nintendo Switch and there are now about 16 different versions of the game available. I played it for about 90 hours on the PS3 and didn't even complete it. You can also get this title for Xbox 360, PS4, Xbox One, PC and even a new VR version for the PS4.

Six years ago the saga of the Dragonborn in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim enthralled the entire gaming world, racking up awards left and right. The open world, the intense combat, and the bucketloads of quests and gear offered players young and old hundreds of hours of gameplay.

While first-party releases like The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Splatoon 2 and Mario Odyssey have been the face of the Nintendo Switch thus far, it's things like Skyrim that might (paradoxically) represent its future.

Overall, Skyrim on Switch is as good as I hoped it would be. I still find new areas to explore and new secrets to discover. Being able to take this awesome title on the go truly showcases why the Nintendo Switch is king. Sadly, Skyrim is a 2011 game, and at times it really shows.
