(PC Review) The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind

Throughout the years, the RPG genre has seen countless classics make their mark on gaming history. Early contenders such as the D&D Gold Box and Bard's Tale series still bear a great deal of sentimental value, as do the likes of Wasteland , which eventually became reborn in the form of the terrific...

So many options....So many dilemmas

Morrowind is the latest offering from Bethesda Softworks from their highly popular Elder Scrolls series, following Arena and Daggerfall. The game is set again in the Tamrielic Empire, this time taking you to the Vvardenfell District of the province of Morrowind.

The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind review (PC)

The first time I played Morrowind , I walked between opening port Seyda Neen and the riverside town of Balmora, the first of the many locations the game requires you to visit. I'd spotted the giant Silt Strider on top of the hill, but didn't have enough money to pay its driver to take me to my...

The Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind

This has never happened to me before. Being a game reviewer is an enviable job. Think about it, you get a chance to look at the greatest (and worst) games ever and then write about them. It requires the ability to be objective when you look at a game, regardless of any and all hype surrounding it.

Limitless gameplay; excellent visuals; complete construction tools for would-be DM's

Crash bugs exist; sound is monotonous; steep system req's

Sorry, folks, it's been awhile since I've had a review. But don't blame me, it really wasn't my fault this time. If you're going to blame something, blame Morrowind. The biggest news at last year's E3 is even better than the hype, as the dozens of fan sites around the 'net will tell you.

The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind

From its rousing score to its breathtaking vistas, everything from head to toe about Morrowind speaks the language of an epic, in the same creative sense that led to Homer creating The Iliad, Miguel de Cervantes' comical scripting of Don Quixote or James Joyce penning the illustrious Ulysses.

The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind

Morrowind is possibly the most anticipated game of the year. How did it do? Unlike Star Wars: Episode 2, the critics are in awe of the newest installment of the Elder Scrolls Saga. I am in complete agreement. If anything, Morrowind is almost too much of a good thing.

Morrowind Review

Bethesda Softworks has spent a long time developing Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind, the third installment in their series of expansive single-player RPGs. Morrowind was released with a decent amount of hype and fanfare, and it easily lives up to most of what everyone has heard about the game.
