The Darkness II is a shooter. OK, so that seems a pretty odd statement to make: Of course The Darkness II is a shooter! But in this sequel's case, it's an important point to consider. The Darkness (the original game) had the feel of an adventure.

Demonic arms + solid gunplay = fun times; Unusual; creepy story that's more than just cheap shocks; Skill tree gives the action some diversity; Excellent voice acting and sound effects

Incredibly short campaign; Linear levels and second-rate AI make for predictable encounters; Run-of-the-mill co-op missions lack challenge

I approached " The Darkness 2 " with high expectations of a special game and although overall I was not disappointed I still feel that thing could have been slightly better.

I was a big fan of the original game, it stood apart from many FPS games at the time by virtue of its excellent story telling at the time as well as being a fun game to play. It took me a while to pick up the sequel as I was worried that the new developers would have lost the magic of the original...

It's fair to say that Jackie Estacado is not a happy man. Consumed by an all-powerful, dominating force known as the Darkness which he has managed to control for now (you'll never guess what happens), he is in constant mourning for his girlfriend Jenny, murdered during the last game.

"Corridor" used to be a dirty word in shooters. Time was I thought a linear corridor-based shooter was a lost cause. Thanks Calls of Duty! But then along came the Bioshocks, and games that did such nifty things with the shooting that I didn't mind the corridors: The Club, Resident Evil 5, Lost...

This game has a beautiful action packed adventure throughout. Decent story. Interesting graphics. Lots and lots of really cool blood and gore that is way over the top. Beautiful violence. If your a fan of action games, do not miss this one. It will blow your mind. A MUST HAVE!!
