Better than the cover

Great game didn't expected it to be so intense and graphic. But not complaining just that it was better overall. Characters are so funny and realistic with such intense attitudes.

Dark, Gorey, Fast-Paced, Compelling Story, Concise Fun!

I bought this game during a sale with two other games during a weekend sale and I am very glad that I chose this as the third game. Here are my reasons - wheeee Story: Darkness 2 continues after Darkness 1 and quickly puts you into the shoes of Jackie, a troubled love-sick-possessed-Italian-American...

Quite a Surprise

It's still early in the year, but this game may be my sleeper hit for 2012. I'm not saying it is the best fps to come out (it honestly is a 4 star game), but factoring in that it wasn't on my radar and thus coming in with low expectations, it really surprised me in how much fun it is.

The Darkness 2 plays and looks way better than the first game. But it still is a title you have to be enthusiastic for before you buy it. If you liked the first game, you will enjoy this one, specially for the discounted price!

The darkness 2 is a true sequel improving on almost every aspect of the first game, the combat is smooth and vicious, the graphics have a cell shaded look which fits brilliantly in this comic book adaptation and my personal favourite aspect; the riveting and emotional story.

The Darkness II Review | Deliciously Destructive And Demented!

Playing through The Darkness was an absolute joy, well maybe with the exception of the multiplayer, thanks to a mix of guns, supernatural powers, crazy little minions, creepy visits to the realm of The Darkness, an amazing story, and a bucket load of blood that left us wanting more.

Great story, Awesome combat, The cell-shading style really makes you feel like you're in a living breathing comic book, but ; .

; ; ; at times it feels a little bit cheap and nasty, The main game is far too short, You can only posses The Darkling twice in the entire game

The Darkness 2 Reviewed

From top to bottom, this is very different to the first game. Jackie, as a character, is a few years older and wiser and, having endured such hardship last time out, is a changed man. He's also now in a position of power after having taken control of the New York Mafia.

The Darkness II Demo Impressions - Xbox 360 Version Tested

When it was announced that Starbreeze Studios had passed on development duties of The Darkness II to Digital Extremes, I was a tad disappointed. Starbreeze seemed to tap directly into the collective consciousness of fans of Top Cow's superb comic series "The Darkness".

The Darkness II – review

Fair warning – there is little room for levity in the appropriately titled The Darkness II . Lead character Jackie Estacado is a mafia don possessed by a demon, his condition taking the form of snake-like tendrils and an aversion to light, and he is capable of doing some extremely reprehensible...
