The Darkness 2 plays and looks way better than the first game. But it still is a title you have to be enthusiastic for before you buy it. If you liked the first game, you will enjoy this one, specially for the discounted price!

The darkness 2 is a true sequel improving on almost every aspect of the first game, the combat is smooth and vicious, the graphics have a cell shaded look which fits brilliantly in this comic book adaptation and my personal favourite aspect; the riveting and emotional story.

When it was announced that Starbreeze Studios had passed on development duties of The Darkness II to Digital Extremes, I was a tad disappointed. Starbreeze seemed to tap directly into the collective consciousness of fans of Top Cow's superb comic series "The Darkness".

The Darkness was one of the early releases on the Xbox 360, and one that didn't quite get the recognition it deserved, in my humble opinion. For years, I truly believed that the game would be a forgotten gem, and that we would hear nothing else on the subject.

The Darkness II is a shooter. OK, so that seems a pretty odd statement to make: Of course The Darkness II is a shooter! But in this sequel's case, it's an important point to consider. The Darkness (the original game) had the feel of an adventure.
