Review: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan (Sony PlayStation 4)

Mutants in Manhattan is a bitter disappointment. The production values are subpar, there's a lack of meaningful content, and the combat boils down to mindless button mashing. It could have been a good game, and there are some decent ideas here. It just didn't come together.

The Platinum spark exists in Mutants in Manhattan, which is why it's tragic the developers couldn't spend the same resources they would on original IP like Bayonetta. As licensed games go, you could do much worse, but this TMNT outing feels like a collection of good ideas in need of a second pass.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan Review

Half-shelled.

Voice acting is on point; Great incorporation of cel-shading in the art style; Boss fights

No local co-op; Repetitive combat and level design; Too short; Bad camera angles

Now, I remember being a young kid and arguing with my mates – you see, I was definitely a Transformers fan, but *they* all liked the Turtles. Don't get me wrong – I did like TMNT, just not as much as I liked Transformers. However, to write this review, I had to be as impartial as I could.

"TMNT: Mutants in Manhattan is just another flop"

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan is the lengthy title of a new fighting game on PS4. As the title suggests, we're in Manhattan this time around, so get ready for spectacular street-chasing and explosive combat.

Graphics; scenery; sound

No multiplayer; combat; too short

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Blood and Wine Review

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, its expansions and DLC might be one of the best value-for-money products in years. Not only was the base game one of the highlights of 2015, but its first expansion -- Hearts of Stone -- gave us a renewed look at the world of Geralt of Rivia as he put his world-saving self...

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan

Some people reckon that you won't learn anything by playing video games. And that's something we very much disagree with after having played Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan.

Every boss is like this. Every stage is like this. In fact, the stages are just named after the bosses at the end, because who cares, right? Then, just when you think you can't repeat this grueling slog yet again, Mutants in Manhattan decides to pad out the last of its six hours by ...
