The Platinum spark exists in Mutants in Manhattan, which is why it's tragic the developers couldn't spend the same resources they would on original IP like Bayonetta. As licensed games go, you could do much worse, but this TMNT outing feels like a collection of good ideas in need of a second pass.

Bummer, dude: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan review

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan is a game which seems appealing on its surface, but one that I enjoyed considerably less each time I played. A visually-attractive four-player hack-and-slash by one of the action genre's most prized developers, Mutants in Manhattan has a solid...

Art style right from the comics

Bland combat; Cumbersome menus and customization; Way too repetitive; Incompetent AI; No local co-op

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Mutants in Manhattan

I appreciate the fact that Family Friendly Gaming was provided a reviewable copy of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Mutants in Manhattan on the Playstation 4. For some odd reason we were provided a digital download code instead of the traditional physical copy.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan review

That doesn't make Mutants in Manhattan a classic, far from it, but if you ever lusted over that old Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles arcade machine as a kid... well. You might find a few kindred shells, and some special moments, in Platinum's most quixotic, self-defeating and occasionally wonderful...

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles! Turdles in a half game...

There is a challenge in there for a TMNT fan somewhere

So; so generic | It's really boss battles and nothing else | Voice acting and music is annoying

Drop your gloves.

At the moment, anyone looking for a competitive card-based strategy game on PC is spoiled with options. Although Blizzard obviously didn't invent the genre, Hearthstone's runaway success has inspired other games aiming to tap into that player base and become just as successful.

Play fields livin up the card game formula; Solo Challenges are great teachers; Factions add great variety to deck building

Subpar AI in practice mode

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan Review

Half-shelled.

Voice acting is on point; Great incorporation of cel-shading in the art style; Boss fights

No local co-op; Repetitive combat and level design; Too short; Bad camera angles

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan (Xbox One) Review

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Heroes in a half shell – Turtle power! They're the world's most mediocre game (it kinda sucks)! They're heroes in a half star game, and they're lame (hey, let ‘er rip)
