The best thing about this recorder is the "EZ" mode. If you turn the dial to EZ, you just push the record button one time, and you are recording and the audio level is set automatically. And, the level that the unit sets is the "correct" level.

I like my tascam recorder. I bought it to record auditions to go with my DSLR. The sound is good. Wifi functionality ensures that you don't have to mess around with wires. Easy functionality. The sound quality could be a little better. But, good value for the money.

I have owned this recorder for about 2 years and use it regularly. Very efficient and easy to use. I mainly use it with an external mic. Battery consumption is also very good. Down side, I find I accidentally knock the selection wheel which doesn't have much resistance to turning and have lost some recordings. But have learnt to double check before recording. All on all a great device.

Brilliant; was recording group practice within minutes of opening the box. Amazing sound quality. Great to run through a song then play it back immediately to review; no fuss no bother.

There are better ones for lots more money, but the DR-22WL is still useful. Small, light, fits in a pocket. Doesnt have XLR, but the 3.5mm jacks take a mic and headphones. I rarely use the Wifi (control thru your phone), though it's handy to capture bird noise remotely, etc. If using on a camera or tripod, buy a shock mount for field recorders.

I use the Tascam DR-33WL, as an external recording device when shooting video clips. on my cell phone. I like that is very compact, packed with features and has ports for both headphones and an external microphone. The one negative I have found is I find the scene selection wheel can be easily moved and not give you the desired recording. I guess it is all about double checking settings. I highly recommend this device and delivery was way faster than I thought.
