Excellent super wide angle alternative for Nikon

This is a great wide angle lens, particularly if u like landscapes or in my case, star trails. It's a little on the heavy side but very simple to use. As long as u keep away from stray artificial light sources when shooting at night, you will be extremely happy with this lens.

REVIEW: Tamron AF10-24mm f/3.5-4.5 Di II LD Asph Macro

Gary Wolstenholme casts his discerning eye over the Tamron 10-24mm Aspherical Macro. This ultra-wide angle offering from Tamron cost £385, which is keenly priced when compared to the manufacturer's own offerings. Both Sigma and Tokina offer lenses in this range.

Tamron SP AF 10-24mm f/3.5-4.5 Di II LD Lens Review

The biggest advantage the Tamron 10-24mm f/3.5-4.5 Di II Lens has over the other ultra-wide angle lenses is its price. The 10-24's USA price varies based on the amount of the rebate that, at review time, is typically available for it - but a $50-$100 price advantage over the next-most inexpensive...

Tamron SP AF 10-24mm f/3.5-4.5 Di II LD Review

The Tamron lens handles nicely and delivers very good results. Its extended range, and features such as internal focusing and, of course, high-quality optics, mean that it's certainly one to add to the shortlist.

Tamron SP AF10-24mm f/3.5-4.5 DiII LD Aspherical (IF) Super Wide, Lightweight Zoom

Given the 1.5x multiplication factor, the angle of view on the Nikon mount is equivalent to 15-36mm, a bit narrower on the coming Canon mount with its 1.6X factor. This is an ideal street lens and will become a favorite for those seeking a less conventional point of view, especially the...

Tamron 10-24mm f/3.5-4.5 Di II LD SP AF review by Scottelly

While I have not done a lot of testing, this lens does seem to give a sharp image, when stopped down a couple of stops. It is a little soft, especially in the corners, at wider f-stops, but at f8 and f11 it is good . . . maybe even quite sharp.

Solid; lens hood fits well with positive click; good range from 15-36mm equiv

A little heavy; but it is lighter than others; so I guess compared to the competition this is not really a con

The Tamron SP designation is reserved for lenses developed with special emphasis on extraordinary photographic performance. Engineers are free to innovate in an uncommon atmosphere where optical performance comes before price, resulting in lenses that satisfy the demands of discerning photographers.

Tamron 10-24mm f/3.5-4.5 Di II LD SP AF

Had it for a few months, and the only reason I don't bring it along as often I should, is it's bulk, almost as big as my Tamron 90, which I prefer to bring along! The good side is that it is very resistant to flare, focuses fairly fast and seems very rugged.

Feels rugged; and sharp

A bit big; not least compared to similar lenses from Olympus

Tamron AF 10-24mm F/3.5-4.5 SP Di II LD Aspherical IF - Review / Test Report

In this review we will have a look at how the lens performs on our current DX test camera, the Nikon D7000. The build quality is in line with most other Tamron lenses. The body is made out of plastic, which feels solid enough, but is not something to rave about.
