only useful to store the lense
There is no aditional macro feature as mentioned. As per user guide, when the lense is at 200mm, the lense can be used as macro. Doesnt make sense. The lock feature works only at 18mm. i.e, only useful to store the lense. nothing like an aditional feature.

Tamron have always been a favourite
Had loads of tamron stuff over the years this lens continues the tradition of being sensational value for money with excellent versatility in a compact easy to use package.

Tamron
I've waited to review this lens until I had used it for several events. Although I have found that as some of the reviews some photos can be slightly 'soft'. It actually is a very practical lens and you can make this lens work for you.

Zoom ahead!
This lens is a real improvement on the standard lens for the Sony Alpha A200. It does add a little bulk and weight to the camera but allows sufficient extra zoom facility to greatly extend the range of the camera.
