Great Lens!!!
I love this lens! I bought this to replace the two lenses, 18-55 and 55-200, that came with my D60 when I bought it so that I would only have to carry around one lens. It is great for exactly that. The aperture is the same as both lens and the built-in motor make is work perfect with the DX nikons.
Pros:
- Consistent Output
- Durable
- Easily Interchangeable
- Sharp Focus
- Strong Construction
Cons:
- Heavy
- Slow Focus

Most versatile lens, ever!
I used this lens most of the time. the most important point is the ability to zoom 18-200mm, an enormous upgrade from a kitlens, which is only 18-55. like kitlens, you can use this lens for any condition. landscape, potrait, telephoto, and even macro.

Tamron's AF18-200mm F/3.5-6.3 XR Di II Lens;
Tamron's AF18-200mm F/3.5-6.3 lens is part of their digitally integrated (Di II) lens series that's designed for digital SLRs and is not recommended for use with cameras having image sensors larger than 24x16mm, or 35mm film cameras.

Pros:
- Weitwinkel sowie auch Tele
- Makrofunktion
Cons:
- billig gebaut
- sehr laut

- Easily Interchangeable
- Has a lens Lock
- Lightweight
- Quick Focus
- Rugged

Cons:

Good for the Price
The first thing I noticed was that it doesn't zoom all the way out to 200mm. There is almost no difference between 135mm and 200mm. I compared the focal length between it's 200 and my Tamron 70-300's 200mm, and there was a big difference. Still worth the money as a walk around lens.
Pros:
- Compact
- Internal Focusing
- Zoom Lock
Cons:
- Not 18-200mm (more like 18-135mm

Tamron 18-200mm lens
Also, Newegg did not have the filters needed for this lens which is an odd 62mm. Had to find those at that other website that sounds like a river. Another small gripe is that they offered free freight on this lens as well as free freight on a new SDHC memory card, but when I added both to my cart,...
Pros:
- Just mounted this lens last night after my UV filters came in the mail
- Newegg once again, came through with quick shipping, great price, AND they are the only vendor online that had the Tamron mail in rebate advertised (that I saw anyway)
Cons:
- AF motor is slightly louder than the Nikon factory lenses as well as a bit slower to auto-focus

Bought this for use with my nikon slr camera. Same product on other sites cost about 20 to 50 pounds extra in addition to postage. Would recommend if you know what you want.

I brought this lens for Pentax k-m. It now works as Tamron 18-200mm VC since k-m has a in-camera VC. I am using the internal flash less often for natural lighting and slow shatter speed. The max aperture at tele-end is slow but I don't care since I can hand hold it with in-camera VC up to 1/15s.
Pros:
- Very contrasty and sharp
- Solid constuction and zoom ring feels just right
- (Not too light or not too heavy.
Cons:
- Lens zooms out when hanging the camera
- Zoom lock is a must when not using
