Tamron 28-200mm F2.8-5.6 Di III RXD A071 Lens for Sony E - Brand New review

This lens is very impressive indeed. The quality of results is far better than we might expect, and extremely well held even at the longer focal lengths, often a weak spot with zoom lenses. There is also the option of switching in the in-camera corrections if desired.

Excellent sharpness, and sharpness holds well at 200mm, Good CA control, Excellent flare resistance, Good distortion control, Modest vignetting, Nice bokeh, Close focusing, Excellent AF, Weather resistance, Excellent handling, Fair price, Light and compact

Tamron 28-200mm F2.8-5.6 Di III RXD A071 Lens for Sony E - Brand New review

While it's a shame that picture and sound quality haven't been upgraded, the iPhone 13 was great in these regards and the iPhone 14 is, too Excellent display Admirable headphone performance Solid build quality No upgrades to picture or sound Familiar design Notch is still present

Tamron 28-200mm F2.8-5.6 Di III RXD A071 Lens for Sony E - Brand New review

Apple's latest non-Pro iPhone is superb - it's just that it's strikingly similar to last year's effort.

Still an incredible smartphone, Brilliant battery life gets a bit better, Excellent camera system gets a bit better

Last year’s Pro hardware, Wireless charging slow by modern standards, No USB-C; it’s now well overdue

Tamron 28-200mm F2.8-5.6 Di III RXD A071 Lens for Sony E - Brand New review

Tamron’s 28-200mm f/2.8-5.6 Di III RXD is only available with the Sony FE mount so far but its combination of an affordable price, compact size, light weight and decent performance give it an advantage over its rivals. It’s one of the best convenience zoom lenses we’ve tested.

Tamron 28-200mm F2.8-5.6 Di III RXD A071 Lens for Sony E - Brand New review

More like an iPhone 13S. The generational upgrades for the iPhone 14 are limited to a few subtle changes. At the same time, however, the base price climbs to 800 USD, while the only true innovation happens inside the iPhone 14 Pro series.

excellent OLED display, dust- and waterproof, fast Wi-Fi, wide range of supported frequencies, great camera, very fast performance, good battery life

display limited to 60 Hz, charging rate limited to 20 watts, no macro lens, wide notch

Tamron 28-200mm f/2.8-5.6 Di III RXD Review

Pro photographers and shutterbugs often turn their noses up when it comes to all-in-one zoom lenses. There's a reason—most don't set the world on fire, optically, and skimp out when it comes to fit and finish. Tamron is changing hearts and minds with its 28-200mm f/2.8-5.6 Di III RXD ($729), available exclusively for Sony camera systems. It couples a sturdy build with very good optical performance, and manages to keep everything small enough to appeal to travel photographers. If you're thinking about an all-in-one zoom for your Sony, this is the one to get.Sensibly Sized, Well Made The 28-200mm is relatively small, especially when you think about its wide range of coverage and full-frame sensor compatibility. When set to the 28mm position it measures 4.6 by 2.9 inches (HD); the barrel telescopes as you zoom in, nearly doubling in length. There is a lock switch to keep it set at 28mm, useful if you're letting your camera hang at your side, or for ensuring things don't move around t...

The Tamron 28-200mm f/2.8-5.6 Di III RXD is a full-frame zoom lens with a big 7.1x ratio. Its quality build and optics offer plenty of appeal for enthusiasts and pros looking for a one-lens solution.

Long zoom for wide angle and telephoto imaging; Works with full-frame and APS-C sensor models; All-weather construction with fluorine coating; 1:3 macro focus; Sized well for travel

Only available for Sony systems; Reliant on in-camera stabilization; Uncorrected Raw shots exhibit distortion and vignette

Tamron 28-200mm F2.8-5.6 Di III RXD A071 Lens for Sony E - Brand New review

The Tamron 28-200mm f2.8-5.6 Di III is a small and light all-in-one zoom designed for mirrorless cameras with full-frame sensors. At the time of writing, it was only available in Sony E-mount, and costs more in some regions than Sony’s own FE 24-240mm super-zoom, while lacking its broader zoom range...
