Suunto Core Green Light Advanced Outdoor Sports Watch Review

The Team at Futurelooks comprise mainly of a group of Internet and technology junkies. However, some of us have other interests and hobbies in life...

Mineral glass is very durable to scratching; Lightweight and easy to press buttons; Easy to read display; Easy to use and navigate between features; Stylish; looks good; not geeky; Loud alarm; User replaceable CR 2032 battery; Altimeter/Barometer; Compass ; Time are "Core" features

Altitude/Barometer requires calibration to get accurate information; Lightweight housing and thin watchband makes me question long-term durability; Download of information recorded to memory to a computer is not an option

www.suunto.com Retail price: $249 Order here at Amazon! Reviewer: Chris Minguez of Chugiak, AK Findings: First off, the Sunnto Core is one of the premier ABC watches on the market. The feature set contained within the Core is one of the largest on any functional digital watch.

Suunto Core Watch

With lots of these functions becoming the norm, the thing that makes the core stand out is the automatic alti/baro: no longer do I have to remember to switch them over before I hit the hay, and again before I'm climbing.

Suunto Core - All Black

More than just an altimeter, this device has added a new dimension to my alpine climbing providing addition route finding and planning information and weather warnings. Understandably for a small device the interface is not fully intuitive and it is worthwhile reading the User Guide to get step by...

Great Build Quality and Features

Great bang for your buck. I like this more than similar offerings from Casio. Even though, I am a huge G-Shock fan, they don't offer a G-Shock with all these features. The closest offering from Casio is not a G-Shock but fairly durable. Either way, I currently prefer the Suunto Core.

Suunto Core review

It's sporty, it's smart and it's packed with features, but has this outdoorsy watch from Suunto got the legs for navigation? Lacking GPS, the Suunto Core immediately goes down the pecking order of smart sports watches - below the new Suunto Ambit 2, no less - but remains a solid, easy to use and...

Digital Masterpiece.

I have a Casio Pro-trek that i've used for the last 7 years. So when the time came to upgrade to a new digital watch, this was a standout amongst the lot. The look and the feel of this watch is sublime! Thinner and more comfortable than the pro-trek and extremely easy to use.

Suunto Core Digital Black

The watch was exactly as advertised. In the last month I've used it underwater, in snow and at altitudes varying from sea level to 18000+ ft above and it performed exactly as expected. You need to read the manual and get familiar with the features to know what it is supposed to do.

I absolutely love this watch! I did a lot of looking around and research online and in person and this was by far the best outdoor/military style watch for the price. I looked at the MTM line but the Air Stryke was my choice and simply could not justify the price tag.
